Workout Journal Notes

Today was my first “normal” day back after last week’s downtime.

I did my usual Wednesday Bodyweight routine, and I’ve found that dips always give me the most trouble after taking a break from them.

I guess they don’t get as much work in daily activities, but they always bounce back quickly to previous strength in a week or two.

In other appetizing news, I had an ingrown toenail fixed about 8 months ago, around New Year’s, and it’s slowly but surely been recovering.

There’s never any real pain, but there is usually some pressure every once in a while at the base of the nail, especially after exercising.

It may be normal for it to take so long to heal 100% since toenails grow so slowly, but I figured if there was ever a time to get it checked out to make sure, it’s during this slight lull in action.

The last thing I’d want is to start the Maximum Strength program, and then get sidelined shortly after, because of notoriously stubborn ingrown toenails.

It’s amazing how much of a bother something so small can be, all because I slipped in vegetable juice and stubbed my toe all those months ago.

So, yes, eating healthy leads to ingrown toenails!

I have an appointment with the podiatrist tomorrow, and I’m hoping he just says it’s normal and will fully heal over the next couple of months, so we’ll see…
