Workout Journal Notes

Those Barbell Reverse Lunges with Front-Squat Grip are still killer!

It’s just the awkward grip which makes staying balanced so much more difficult, but I was actually a little surprised to complete every rep on all 4 sets, since I barely completed 3 sets with the same weight last week.

My abs felt great today too without any of the major soreness that I had been feeling lately, so I know if I start to feel it again later this week, then it’s definitely the Reverse Lunges that are doing it.

With this being the final “Very High Load” week of the entire “Maximum Strength” program, I’m going to stick to the original schedule outlined in the book of lifting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

That will work better on several levels, because it makes Thanksgiving an off day, plus it will allow my forearm one more day to rest before upper body day, since I bowled for hours over the weekend (high score: 175!).

I’ll be cutting cardio completely this week too, again to make sure I’m as fresh as possible for this last challenging week!
