Workout Journal Notes

Even though it rained all day yesterday and was extremely humid this morning, the fields were surprisingly dry.

I’m not sure if it was due to the expected weather, but there was also only one soccer game going on, so I had the back field all to myself.

One of the freshly-painted lines seemed to be exactly 40 yards, which was perfect since I did long 100-yard sprints last time.

I started with a goal of 15 and went all the way up to 16 40-yard dashes in a row!

I started out in the low 5-second area, got closer to 6 seconds toward the end, then finished relatively strong with a 5.97 on my 16th sprint.

Keep in mind, these certainly aren’t scientifically accurate times, as I’m working the stopwatch myself as I run.

I’m going to continue switching up the distances (40, 60, 100 yards), but I’m already planning for 20 40’s next time!

Tomorrow is measurement day, and I’ve been conducting a nutritional experiment on myself this week, which I haven’t mentioned until now.

If you happen to follow the Diet Log, you may have noticed some changes, but I’ll have my preliminary findings with tomorrow’s measurements, and I’ll explain exactly what I did, because it could be very interesting, but we’ll see!
