Workout Journal Notes
Results were almost exactly the same as last week, but I did manage to get that last rep to complete both sets of squats.
Everything else I matched rep for rep from last week, although I was a little bit closer to the 11th rep on the second set of bench presses today.
This is my 7th week of my current routine, and I’m ready to start the Maximum Strength program (listed above in “Current Workout Routine”).
So, I’ll be finishing this week as usual, then throttling down next week with mostly bodyweight work, in preparation for “Maximum Strength.”
The program kicks off with a test of various exercises which I’ll do next Friday or Saturday, then you follow a 16 week plan to increase your overall strength.
At the end of those 4 months, you do the same tests again to compare how far you’ve come.
I’m excited to try it out, as I’ve heard nothing but great things about the book and Eric Cressey himself.
I might have waited one more week to switch over, but since I’m going out of town next week, it’s a perfect throttling down opportunity.
I’ll be able to get in all my bodyweight work without worrying about finding a local gym.
As for tomorrow, I’ll be hitting the soccer field to do my sprints, which should seem a lot easier after Saturday’s insane boot camp sprints!
