Workout Journal Notes

That’s it! Well, not really, but there’s only 1 week left of “Maximum Strength” and today was the last really tough workout.

Next week is very very light, ending with the final testing day next Saturday to measure my progress.

Determined to go out in style, I manage to put myself in a compromising and precarious position today.

On Close-Grip Floor Presses I barely fell short of the 7th rep, though, thankfully, the load was light enough to rest on my abs until I could shimmy my way out from under the loaded bar.

Normally, I use a second set of lower pins in the squat rack as my “spotter,” but with Floor Presses already being so close to the ground with no bench, I just didn’t bother with it, but I’ll know better from now on!

Tomorrow is measurement day, and I expect to have gained a few pounds back, since I’ve cut cardio completely this week in preparation for being at full strength come “Moving Day” next Saturday.

The extra pounds will be welcome though, since I dropped a full FOUR pounds last week!
