Workout Journal Notes

Last Saturday I was surprised to see the soccer fields almost completely empty, but today as just the opposite.

There were literally hundreds of players, parents, and coaches swarming around all 3 fields.

I managed to find a spot all the way at the back, along the baseline of one of the large fields.

Again, my walk-off measurements aren’t very reliable, but just based on the times and keeping things consistent, I’m calling these 80′s.

I’ll be going to a football field this Tuesday, so I’ll get a chance to “practice” my walk-offs and get a better feel of exactly how many of my strides equals how many yards.

All I know today is that the distance was definitely longer than my previous “60′s” and less then my “100′s,” so I’m going with “80′s” for now, and I completed 10 of them.

I felt really good and faster than usual, but that may have just been some minor adrenaline from having tons of people watching me, thinking, “Why is that tall guy sprinting like a maniac along the side of my child’s soccer game?” haha

Measurement day is always exciting, but tomorrow’s will be even more so, since I’m still in the midst of my experiment.

There were some slight changes this week, which I’ll discuss in tomorrow’s weekly recap, but I’m definitely anticipating some good numbers, because I feel and look noticeably leaner.
